Samuel Bazawule "Blitz the Ambassador "

Blitz the Ambassador is the stage name of Samuel Bazawule, a Ghanaian-born filmmaker, artist, and musician. He was born on April 19, 1982 in Accra, Ghana and is currently based in Brooklyn, New York


Bazawule's work includes: 


  • Filmmaking: His debut feature film, The Burial of Kojo, premiered on Netflix in 2019 and he also co-directed Beyoncé's visual album Black Is King.

  • Music: He has released 10 albums, including Diasporadical, Native Sun, and Afropolitan Dreams. Some of his songs include "Juju Girl", "B-Boy Massacre", and "Shine".

  • Other work: He is also a rapper, singer-songwriter, record producer, and author.
