Divine Ikubor " Rema"

Rema (real name Divine Ikubor) is a Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter. He was born on May 1, 2000, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He started making music at a young age and began releasing music online when he was just 18 years old. His first song, "Iron Man", was released in 2020.


Rema rose to stardom after releasing the song "Dumebi" in 2019. That same year, he signed with D'Prince's record label, Jonzing World. He received wider recognition for his 2022 single "Calm Down," which spawned a remix with American singer Selena Gomez that peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100, and led the United States Afrobeats Songs chart for a record-setting 58 weeks. Furthermore, it became regarded as the most internationally successful song in the Afrobeats genre.


Rema has released two albums, Rave & Roses (2022) and Rema Compilation (2020). He has also won several awards, including the Headies Award for Best New Artist in 2020 and the MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist in 2021.
